S-Cape Personal Evacuation System Training is a practical, hands-on course designed to teach offshore personnel how to safely evacuate an installation in the event of an emergency. The S-Cape system is a portable person descend device that enables a controlled & safe descent from an offshore structure. On successful completion of the training, delegates will understand the purpose and limitations of the S-Cape system and will have demonstrated the ability to carry out an independent controlled descent.

S-CAPE Offshore Evacuation Training – Norwich, Norfolk
Our S-CAPE Offshore Evacuation Training Course, delivered at our Norwich, Norfolk training centre, provides delegates with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to safely operate the S-CAPE offshore evacuation system.
This course is designed to meet offshore operator requirements and is widely recognised across the UK North Sea and Southern North Sea (SNS) sector.
S-Cape Course Content
The S-CAPE training programme includes both theoretical instruction and hands-on practical assessment:

S-Cape Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the course, delegates will:

Be certified to use the designated model of Offshore S-CAPE operational units

Operate the system in accordance with manufacturer instructions and recommendations

Meet one of the mandatory pre-qualification requirements for working on or visiting offshore installations where the S-CAPE system is installed
S-Cape Training Methods
Training is delivered using a combination of:

Classroom-based instruction

Practical, hands-on training using an at-height training device
During practical exercises, the instructor will assess each delegate’s safety awareness, competence, and aptitude, followed by a written multiple-choice assessment with discussion.
