S-CAPE Offshore Evacuation Training – Norwich, Norfolk

Our S-CAPE Offshore Evacuation Training Course, delivered at our Norwich, Norfolk training centre, provides delegates with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to safely operate the S-CAPE offshore evacuation system.
This course is designed to meet offshore operator requirements and is widely recognised across the UK North Sea and Southern North Sea (SNS) sector.

S-Cape Course Content

The S-CAPE training programme includes both theoretical instruction and hands-on practical assessment:

• Introduction to the course and S-CAPE system (DVD-based learning)

• How the S-CAPE system operates and functions

• Equipment inspection procedures

• Identification and understanding of system components

• Practical demonstration of the S-CAPE system

• Practical competence assessment

• Multiple-choice knowledge test

• Course debrief and feedback session

S-Cape Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of the course, delegates will:

• Be certified to use the designated model of Offshore S-CAPE operational units

• Operate the system in accordance with manufacturer instructions and recommendations

• Meet one of the mandatory pre-qualification requirements for working on or visiting offshore installations where the S-CAPE system is installed

S-Cape Training Methods

Training is delivered using a combination of:

• Classroom-based instruction

• Practical, hands-on training using an at-height training device

During practical exercises, the instructor will assess each delegate’s safety awareness, competence, and aptitude, followed by a written multiple-choice assessment with discussion.

• All training is delivered by certified S-CAPE Instructors

• Courses are conducted in a relaxed, professional, and friendly environment

S-Cape Course Details

• Course Duration: 1–2 hours

• Course Ratio: Maximum 1 instructor to 6 delegates

• Certification Validity: Up to 12 months

S-Cape Entry & Medical Requirements

• Ability to safely undertake practical exercises at height

• Valid offshore medical certificate required prior to training

• A good level of physical fitness is recommended due to the practical nature of the course

• Delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English

We can accommodate delegates with additional needs, provided these are declared at the time of booking.

• Comfortable clothing suitable for practical training
