Our Working at Height (CITB Assured) course is delivered by a CITB Approved Training Organisation (ATO) based in Norwich, providing high-quality, compliant training for individuals and businesses across Norfolk and the wider East of England.

This course delivers comprehensive working at height training through a balanced mix of theory and practical instruction, ensuring delegates gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to work safely and competently at height in line with current legislation and industry best practice.

Working at Height Course Content & Learning Outcomes

This 1 day Working at Height course combines classroom-based theory with practical, hands-on training. 

Working at Height Theoretical Knowledge Covered

The course also explores essential theory to support safe working at height, including:

  • Core principles of health, safety and environmental legislation
  • Relevant Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs)
  • Inspection, storage, and maintenance of fall arrest, work positioning, and restraint equipment
  • Identification and assessment of working at height hazards and risks
  • Risk reduction using the hierarchy of controls
  • Understanding of emergency and rescue procedures when working at height

Working at Height Practical Knowledge Covered

Delegates will receive practical, hands-on training covering:

  • Safe use of ladders and access equipment
  • Correct techniques for ascending and descending at height
  • Selection and correct use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Safe use of lanyards, fall arrest systems, and fall restraint equipment
