The Abrasive Wheels (CITB Assured) course covers the safe selection, handling, inspection, mounting, and operation of abrasive wheels. Delegates learn to identify hazards, select the correct wheel for the task, select appropriate PPE, and learn how to work in line with PUWER to reduce the risk of accidents when using grinding equipment in the workplace. The delegates will be able to identify defects and carry out pre-use inspections.

Level 3 award (Level 5 in Scotland) Course comprising a minimum of 6 hours of practical and theoretical training covering responsibilities; assessment of the situation; first aid hygiene; resuscitation; anatomy; choking; bleeding; shock; epilepsy; minor injuries and dealing with an unresponsive casualty. Compliant with Health & Safety Executive code of Practice.

It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of first aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification (level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.
